Pastor James Ross began serving as our Pastor in December, 2017. James grew up in Starke, Florida in a non-Christian family and gave his life to Christ during a youth outreach event at the age of 14.  

He struggled a lot in his walk with Christ in high school and wrestled with the calling to serve as a Pastor. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida and achieving some success in the corporate world, he finally surrendered to the call that he knew God had placed on his life. He moved to Graceville, Florida where he earned a B.A. in Christian Studies from The Baptist University of Florida and began serving in youth ministry. In 2007, he planted Mosaic Church in Crestview, Florida where he served as lead pastor for ten years before coming to Church on Bayshore. 

 

James also has a Master's of Arts in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master's of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife, Christie, since January, 2006.  They have six children - Cameron, Nathan, Lillian, Judah, Esther and Steven.
